Formed
in 2004, Adrenochrome set out to create a sound that
combined elements of funk, dance and rock. Keeping a
regular line up initally proved difficult, but the addition
of vocalist Phil in July 2005 marked a turning point
in the band, and a month later we were ready to play
our first gig. We had soon progressed from the original
blueprint to a heavier sound, with all 5 members of
the band playing an active role in the songwriting process.
Over
the next two years the band went on to share stages
with the likes of Get Cape Wear Cape Fly and Enter Shikari.
May 2006 saw the release of our EP "Underlined
And Highlighted", and in July we reached the final
of the anual Lock And Load battle of the bands competition,
picking up second place.
Unfortunately,
we found it very hard to follow on from this reasonable
success, and split in 2007. Writing had been difficult,
and the passion seemed to had faded.
Thanks
to everyone who helped us over the past few years, venues,
promoters, bands and fans, you were all brilliant.
